The Testing Power –

Testing Trick – Knowing your way through Gmail is a good way to increase work productivity, that’s why I wrote this to give you an idea on how extensible and flexible Gmail is. After reading this you will have a knowledge of Gmail and testing with email trick will surely sky rocketing for testers. Want to test with 1000+ live email id’s. There could be two ways of doing this task –

(1) Create 1000 email accounts which I guess will take a week time if 10 – 15 people do it and that do on different machines with different IP address. [Else Google will block you]
(2) Create 1000 dummy email Id’s which is a common practice – but are they original.
.
.
Well I have some thing new which I learnet recently and I guess most of the ‘Tech Gurus’ must be aware of –
Solution – Gmail and infact every mail service gives us the solution to the above scenario.

Create one gmail account.
Example – sumit.mattey@gmail.com followed by sumit.mattey+1  -> see the screen shot.

Like this –

sumit.mattey+1@gmail.com
sumit.mattey+2@gmail.com
sumit.mattey+3@gmail.com
.
.
.
.
.
sumit.mattey+1000@gmail.com

If you send any email form sumit.mattey+1@gmail.com to sumit.mattey@gmail.com then the mail will be triggered successfully.

For all +1 sign email(s) the mail is box is the same. This way the testing becomes easy that how the service is working fine.

This way testing become more helpful and easy to do.
